Kenya Harlequins have reached the Quarterfinal of the Enterprise Cup after a 23-20 win over defending Champions Homeboyz at Jamhuri Grounds
32 points were scored in the opening half, with host Homeboyz scoring 17 while Kenya Harlequins had 15. Quins first points of the game came from a penalty by Lyle Asiligwa. Daudi Semwani announced his return with an unconverted try for Charles Cardovillis coached side.
Homeboyz who were settled then began to trim the gap, scoring a penalty through Ervin Asena. Asiligwa, on the other hand, scored Quins second try and converted to send them to a 15-3 lead.
Inside centre, Max Kang’eri crossed over for Homeboyz first try. Fullback Brian Juma’s try saw the side lead for the first time after his try was converted.
On return from the break, Homeboyz opened a five-point gap, this was after Asena’s drop kick earned them three more points. Quins leveled the scorers through David Ambunya.
Jasper Ochen scored a penalty that sent Homeboyz out.
