Kabras II are through to the Mwamba Cup semi-finals after a 15-11 over KCB II at the KCB Sports Club.
A tight first half was witnessed and only 16 points were scored in the half. Seeking to stretch the game away from Kabras RFC in the opening minutes, fly-half Stephen Osumba kicked in the first three points after the Bankers won a penalty. Kabras responded with a try but Fijian fly-half Jone couldn’t add the extras.
Osumba added three more points from a penalty to restore KCB’s lead. It was, however, Kabras who went to break leading. The side won a penalty in the dying minutes of the first stanza and Kubu this time around hit the target.
In the final half, Kevin Kabole pounced on a loose ball and dashed on to score Kabras second try. Kubu had an easy time to add a conversion to it for a 15-6 lead. KCB trimmed the gap through winger Jeff Okwach who scored a try and send the clash to a tense mode.
