Kenya 7s calls in another player to boost squad for Vancouver 7s

Mean Machine skipper Shadon Munoko has jetted out to Canada to link up with Kenya 7s squad ahead of the Sixth leg of the World 7s Series, Vancouver 7s.

Munoko, a forward jetted out of the country on Saturday evening and he will be expected to make his debut in the World 7s Series this weekend. His inclusion was confirmed by the Kenya Rugby Union and his Club Mean Machine.

“We’d like to wish our skipper, ‘captain fandastic’ ShadMunoko all the best as he travels to Vancouver, Canada to join the rest of Kenya 7s players,” reads a statement byMachine.

Munoko watched on the sidelines as his club Machine lost to Kabras 41-22 in an interesting clash staged at Uon Grounds last Saturday. He becomes the second player to link up with the 7s team after Johnstone Olindi who joined the side on Monday after missing the USA 7s leg in Las Vegas.

Kenya 7s are in Pool B alongside Fiji, Samoa and the host Canada.
