Kenyatta University head coach Michael Tank Otieno said a lot of errors from his team cost them in their 19-38 loss to Impala at the KCB Ruaraka grounds in an early kick off match.
Impala led the University boys 24-3 at half time, adding two in the second half to see off Blad despite the students replying with two tries from Archadius Kheswa in the dying minutes.
The tactician speaking during an interview said his team will have to cut on their errors which he said have become habitual costing them games. Impala proved too strong on the counter, punishing the students who had many handling errors.
“We didn’t have a good first half. A lot of errors from my boys and it has become habitual. We had the ball in the first half but they knocked on, gave bad passes and whenever Impala hit as on counter we struggled to cover.”
“We had a good second half but it was too late. We have to cut out the error rate heading to the next game.”
Blad are 10th with 16 points, six above relegation placed Strathmore. With four games remaining, a play off position for the students seems highly unlikely. These are their next fixtures.
