Gutted Kenyans react to Kenya 7s eighth straight loss

Kenya 7s losing streak in World 7s Series continued as they suffered two losses to USA and France at the Las Vegas 7s held at Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday 2 March.

Against the USA the side showed signs of improved despite a 26-10 loss. The second match saw Kenya go down 31-7 to France,  stretching their losing streak to eight matches in a row.

Kenya 7s’ in the last win in World 7s Series came at the Hamilton 7s held in New Zealand last month. They beat Argentina 24-7 in the challenge trophy semis.

With the streak, Kenya 7s fans are now afraid that the side may be relegated from the World 7s Series and they are calling for immediate action from the Union. A number feel the Union should sort out the salary issue that has seen senior players boycott the Kenya 7s camp.

Others believe that there should be a blend between senior players and the juniors while there those who are confident that the side will rise again and avoid the chop.

Majority of the Senior players are yet to feature this season, with the Union having revealed it would slash the salaries which used to range between 145 000 to 170, 000 for senior players to 100, 000.
