Kenya 7s suffered their second straight loss in Las Vegas after going down to France 31-7 in Pool B match played at Sam Boyd Stadium.
This was the fifth meeting between Kenya 7s and France this season. In the last four Kenya had won once. The last date came at Sydney 7s where Kenya lost 40-17. With both sides having lost the opening games, they were seeking a win to revive their quarterfinal hopes.

The first try of the game came at the fourth minute after a beautifully taken 22 drop out, Paulin Riva completed France move to put them five points up. 27-year-old Jean Pascal Barraque stretched the lead after dotting at centre and converted his own try just seconds before halftime.
In the final half, Kenya had possession in the opening minutes but would concede a penalty. Stephen Parez quick tap saw him spin past oncoming Kenya’s defender and dotted the third try for France.
Kenya’s first try came from KCB’s man Vincent Onyala who sold a dummy and went over for a converted try.
Jonathan Laugel would force his way to the try line for a converted try before Marvin O’Connor dived over for the final try that handed Kenya the second loss in Las Vegas.
