KCB head coach Curtis Olago revealed he had a clear plan on how to deal with Kabras and his charges executed it effectively to win the match.
But despite an impressive 44-20 win over the Sugarmen, the Kenya Cup winner insists his team will not celebrate much as they have other games to focus on.
“It is just a league game which was a chance to test where are. We would have celebrated if it was a final.” He said in a post match interview.
Speaking on how they managed to overcome an impressive Kabras side which has seen off teams at their own will for the better part of the season, Olago said they stuck to their plan. He was quick however to give it to Kabras for the performance they produced against his team.
“The boys stuck to the plan. I had a contest plan and they executed it. Kabras had a good game plan and results do not reflect the actual game. But when you face a good side you pick what you can on then the negatives and you work on then in training.” Olago said after the match.
The two sides are tied on 49 points, although Kabras are top with a superior point difference having 303 to the bankers’ 251. With play offs first approaching, it seems like these two sides have already secured semi final spots leaving fans drooling over a possible rematch in the finals.
