KCB II have ended Kabras unbeaten run in the Eric Shirley Shield after edging them 37-35 in a match staged at Impala Grounds.
Heading to the clash, both sides were unbeaten with 10 wins each in the opening games of the season. Kabras were top of the log 50 points while KCB were second on log with 46.
In the opening minutes, Kabras scored two penalties, while KCB got one unconverted try. Both sides would bag a converted try each bringing the scores to 13-12.
KCB went to the break leading 17-16. It was after they added an unconverted try while Kabras had scored the third penalty, minutes to break.
In the final half, KCB added 20 points to the scoresheet while Kabras added 19 points. This win puts KCB and Kabras on level with 51 points after 11 games of play.
