Mwamba RFC centre Brad Owako has joined Spanish side Bantierra Fénix on a six-month loan deal.
The club has announced that the player is expected to jet out of the country on Thursday 14 February where he is expected to link up with his new side.
A statement by Mwamba reads: “Stanbic Mwamba wishes to announce that former club captain Brad Owako will leave the club for a period of six months to pursue professional rugby as he signs a loan deal with Bantierra Fénix in Spain.”
“We would like to wish Brad all the best in his new assignment and we certainly know he will continue flying the Kulabu flag high in his new frontier as he helps Bantierra Fénix in their campaign. All the best BradBoy and see you soon!” it further reads.
Owako has been at the club since 2013 having joined them from Daystar RFC. He represented Kenya at under-19, played for Shujaa in invitational tournaments and has two caps for Kenya Simbas.
