Mwamba head coach Kevin Wambua was largely satisfied by his team’s performance against Blak Blad over the weekend despite a slow start that he says could have been caused by his team under estimating Blad.
Mwamba found the going to be tough in the first half as Blad dominated the set pieces denying them possesion for long spells which forced the coach to make changes early on.
“The boys maybe underestimated Blak Blad at the start and they came off the blocks early and we had too many errors in the opening half that is why he had to make technical substitution early in the game. Once we sorted this out we started picking momentum.” Wambua said.
Despite the shaky start by his team, the Kenya lionesses coach said he was glad histeam picked maximum points as he looks to correct his team’s undoings in the set piece areas.
“Am satisfied with the win especially the five points. However there is a lot to fix especially the set pieces and how we play against tough opposition.” He added.
Mwamba face Mean Machine on Saturday 16.
