Blad boss explains weekend loss, keen to rise from danger zone

Kenyatta university head coach Michael Tank Otieno attributed their loss to Mwamba over the weekend to handling errors from his side highlighting getting clear of the relegation zone as their main target now.

Blak Blad are tenth with 11 points, one point above Strathmore who share the relegation zone with Mean Machine. This is after playing nine matches and winning just two along the way. Their latest loss coming against Mwamba over the weekend.

“It is just error-rate and lack of concentration. We made too many errors, we had the opportunity to score but knocked on the ball. Passes went off the target in promising positions. Our kicker was also off form today. There were two knock which resulted to Mwamba’s tries.” Tank said in an interview after the Mwamba match.

Blad had Mwamba by the horns in the first half but failed to utilise their scoring opportunities, giving their opponents time to settle and restructure and allowing them back into the game.

The coach knows just another slip could see them plunge into the relegation zone and that seems to be his main focus now. This is what he said on their play off chances.

“Chances are slim but let me not rule out but our focus now is to get out of the relegation zone.” Tank added.
