Championship: Mombasa make five changes ahead of UOE tie

Mombasa head coach Lewis Olaka made five changes to his squad that will take on the University of Eldoret on Saturday 9 at the UOE grounds.

The Dumes seek a second promotion to Kenya cup from the championship league, having secured promotion in the inaugural 2016/2017 season of the championship league.

Sammy Maraga takes his place at tight head from Samuel Mwaniki who drops to the bench in the only change effected to the forwards from the last game against Eldoret based Mois Arsonists in a show of confidence by the coach.

Kevin Owuor takes up the Skipper roles and will partner with Dennis Njagi at half back positions.

Four changes have been made to the back line  as Ian Njoroge replaces Erick Baraka on the left wing while Jabril Jabril comes in for Timothy Makiya on the right. Sudi Hussein will take up fullback roles from Samuel Okioma who will not be making the trip to the rift.

Ezra Mulusa continues his fine form at inside center and will partner with Isaac Situma in the midfield area.

The bench speaks good news as the team welcomes some key names who have been out with injuries. They include Ezra Mumbo, Don Ooro and Benedict Wesonga.
