How Kabras plans to deal with Kenya Harlequins

Kabras head coach Henry Du Plessis insists that the clash against Kenya Harlequins is as important as their pasts matches and they will approach it with total seriousness that it deserves.

The South African tactician believes that the team with the right mindset will carry the day in the highly anticipated clash set for RFUEA Grounds. He says they will stick to the previous tact that has seen them register a 100 percent record win record this season.

“Our plan is to approach the match the same as our last games. Every game is important to us we will not do anything different. We will stick to the plan that has worked for us in the last eight games,” Du Plessis told Scrummage.

“This weekend, the team with the right mindset will win the game. We must go with the right mindset and play the game,” he added.

When asked about if the team is under pressure owing to the recent winning streak, Du Plessis said that they have been under pressure to perform well from the first day of the season. He concluded by saying their plan stay focused and avoid distraction in order to perform well on Saturday.

“Every game is putting pressure on us, that is from our first game. The quins game is important in our calendar so this week we want to focus, stay quiet, don’t say a lot and execute,” he said.

The free-scoring side has 360 points scored this season and their defence has let in only 66 points. They top the standings with 40 wins having won with a bonus point in each match.

Kabras has won four of the last six league meeting with Quins. The last meeting played on January 13, 2018, at the Kakamega Showground saw Kabras win 22-13. Cardovillis was in charge of the side by that time.
