KRU Championship sides South Coast Pirates and Catholic Monks will not be taking part in the Enterprise Cup Preliminary Round.
South Coast Pirates were scheduled to make a trip to Western Kenya to tackle Kisumu RFC. Kisumu Head coach Howard Okwemba has confirmed that they will not be in action since Pirates will not be honouring the fixture.
Menengai Oilers Head Coach Gibson Weru has also revealed that they will not be playing this weekend as their opponents Catholic Monks will not be traveling to Nakuru.
They join MMUST and University of Eldoret (UoE) who also pulled out of the competition.
MMUST were scheduled to confront Mean Machine at the University of Nairobi grounds but opted to stay away since most of their players are currently writing exams and their budget did cater for the competition.
For UoE who had a date with Kisii RFC, their withdrawal is as a result of financial constraints as their budget cannot allow them honour other competitions apart from the Championship league.
