Kenya Harlequin assistant coach Benjamin Ayimba lauded his side’s scrum in Saturday’s 37-24 win over Ngong Road rivals Impala Saracens.
Quins started the match on the front foot, taking a healthy 27-0 advantage at half-time and according to Ayimba, they outclassed the Sarries during scrummaging.
“Our scrum was very solid today and it worked for us.Our backs were also exceptional and I recall only one mistake from them for the entire match,” Ayimba said.
“There was a bit of carelessness when we had two guys sinbinned but Iam happy we managed to hold on for the win,” added Ayimba.
The win saw Quins, who face Kabras in their next Kenya Cup match, consolidate third position on the standings.
They will host KRU Championship side Ngong Warriors in an Enterprise Cup round one tie this weekend.
