Western Bulls beat Ngong Warriors 15-8 in a tight KRU Championship match played on Saturday evening in Nairobi.
Early minutes exchange saw both sides score a penalty each for a 3-3 draw. Echulusi missed two more attempts at goal from the tee against Ngong Warriors’ one miss. The sides would go to the break held at 3-3.
In the second half, Bulls started off by putting their hosts to pressure but again send wide their third penalty attempt wide. Robert Awich finally breached Ngong defence and scored the opening try of the game. Isaac Wafula’s conversion saw them move to 10 points.
The hosts trimmed the gap with five-pointer minutes later. Kevin Mutaly added Bulls second try of the day. Bram Shikanda charges held on to win the match by a seven points gap.
