Ngong Road derby spices up Kenya Cup round 8

The 2018-19 Kenya Cup enters round 8 on Saturday with the Ngong Road derby pitting Impala Saracens against Kenya Harlequin spicing up the matchday.

The sides head to the tie on the back of contrasting results and apart from the five points on offer, bragging rights will also be up for grabs.

While Quins have lateley been on good run of form, Impala, who started the season on a high have lost the last three matches.

The Sarries will, perhaps, be in more need of the points in order to bring their crumbling season back on track.

Impala edged out Quins 10-8 last season in a fixture that was marred by officiating controversy.

Quins are currently third on the standings, seven points more than sixth-placed Impala.

Other fixtures lined up on Saturday will see the Jamhuri Showground host the battle pitting Homeboyz and Strathmore while Mean Machine will confront Nondies in an early kick off at Impala Grounds.

Kenya Cup holders KCB are at home to Nakuru RFC as Kabras Sugar welcomes Mwamba at their Kakamega backyard.

Kenyatta University will host Blak Blad versus Meenengai Oilers .
