New dates for Barthes Cup set to hosted in Kenya

Changes have been effected in the kickoff dates of the Rugby Africa 2019 Barthes Cup  Competition which is scheduled to take place in Kenya.

In the scheduled released last year, the matches were to kick off on 27 to 30 March but the matches have been pushed to April and will run as from 4 to 7 April, according to Kenya Rugby Union.

Kenya are pooled alongside Namibia, Kenya, Tunisia and Senegal. Paul Odera coached side will commence their campaign with a clash against Tunisia while Namibia will tackle Senegal in the opening match. The winners will square it out in finals set for April 7.

The winner in the Pool will qualify for the 2019 Junior World Rugby Trophy. Zimbabwe will host the Pool B matches on the 17th and 20th of April.

Pool C comprises of hosts Uganda, Ghana, Zambia and Algeria.

Match 4: Winner M1 vs Winner M2

17th April

Match 1: Zimbabwe vs Ivory Coast 

Match 2: Morocco vs Madagascar 

20th April

Match 3: Loser M1 vs  Loser M2

Match 4: Winner M1 vs Winner M2

Pool C matches 

8th May

Match 1 – Uganda vs Ghana

Match 2 – Zambia vs Algeria

11th May

Match 3 – Loser M1 vs Loser M2

Match 4 – Winner M1 vs Winner M2
