The 2018-19 World Sevens Series returns this weekend with the third leg scheduled for Hamilton, New Zealand.
Kenya, who have had a far from ideal start to the season are drawn in a pool C that also features series defending champions South Africa,Scotland and France.
The side kicks of it’s campaign against continental rivals South Africa at 12:22am on Saturday before confronting Scotland at 3:48am.
“With the current squad, Iam confident we are going to improve on our performance,” newly appointed skipper Jacob Ojee said before the side departed for Hamilton.
“The team’s performance has been rising steadily since the season started.We hope to amass more points in Hamilton and Sydney,” the KCB winger noted.
Shujaa’s final match of the preliminaries will see them come up against the Frenchmen at 8am.
While they have already faced Scotland and France this season, Paul Murunga’s men are yet to have a taste of the Blitzboks.
