Fixtures, venues and times for Championship match day 8 action

The second battle for promotion to Kenya cup gathers speed heading into match day 8 with six matches expected to be played across the country, Nairobi hosting three on Saturday 26.

Leaders Catholic Monks, who have a total of 27 points will welcome UOE Trojans at the Catholic University grounds Langata as they look to continue their winning ways. Monks have lost just one game so far. UOE will on the other hand come fired up after last weekend’s 8-7 win against former leaders USIU.

Second placed USIU, who are one point behind leaders Monks will be looking to regain their status at the top of the table when they host Kakamega based MMUST in what promises to be a mouth watering clash. MMUST will be looking for a win to move into a play off position.

Bottom placed SC Pirates will continue the hunt for their first win this season when they receive domestic tourists Kisii RFC at the St. Joseph Primary, Ukunda. Neighbours Mombasa will be playing at the same time at the Mombasa sports Club against Kisumu RFC.

Western Bulls who sit third, one point behind second placed USIU and tow behind leaders Monks, will make a trip to the capital to face Ngong Warriors while 11th placed Egerton Wasps will be looking to sting a 10th placed Kitale side at the Nest.
