AP back-rower who went MIA found dead

After going MIA since late November 2018, Administration Police flanker Vincent Kemboi Kimeto has been found dead at Moi Teaching and Referral Mortuary.

It has emerged that the flanker was among those who were involved in an accident that occurred near Sukunanga shopping centre in Uasin Gishu County on the Eldoret-Nakuru highway on November 25, 2018.

In the accident, three were reported dead while six were injured. The injured were taken to Moi Referral Hospital while the dead were taken to Moi Referral Mortuary.

The club has confirmed the demise of the player through their official Facebook page. A statement by the club reads:

“Warriors shocked as news of Kemboi’s death breaks “He could tackle, take the ball and took Warriors to places they never dreamed they would be.” Kemboi passed away after being involved in an accident along Nakuru-Eldoret Highway. The Warriors Rugby Team wishes Kemboi’s bereaved family Comfort and strength at this difficult time.”
