Western Bulls bully Mombasa, Kisumu fall to Monks

Western Bulls bounced back to winning ways following a 32:6 victory against Mombasa RFC in a KRU Championship clash staged at the Bull Ring.

Derrick Mabili opened the scores with a try before Derrick Ashiundu made it eight after scoring a penalty. Kevin Mutali then added five more points making it 13 before halftime.

Fidel Nyotaa and Derrick Ashiundu added two more tries pushing the scores to 23 before Bulls scored a penalty try to win the game.

Mombasa RFC managed 6points from two penalties one before the break and another during the second half.
The 32 points was enough for Bulls to silence Mombasa who earned only 6 points making them suffer the defeat.

In Kisumu, the host Kisumu RFC suffered second straight defeat after going down to Catholic Monks 8-3. Kisumu managed just a penalty as their opponents went over for a try and added a penalty.

Newton Kuka’s penalty and Max Omondi’s try gave Monksa lead while Israel Makokha pulled back with a penalty. The second half saw the scores remain unchanged.
