Kisii RFC and former Kenya Under 19 forward Eugene Makale has been forced to hang boots with the club announcing that the decision is due to his health status.
His club has wished him well as he played a key role during his stay at the club.
A statement by the club reads: “This week we say goodbye to our very own Eugine Makale who has had to hung up his boots because of his health status. Eugene has played a massive role in the history of the club and the memories will remain dear to our hearts.”
“In his quest for better living and greater health we do wish him all the best and have no doubt that he will conquer.Quick Recovery Onzi.”
The former St Peters man joined the club in 2016 and was key in their quest for the KRU Championship title in the 2016/17 season. They were later promoted at the end of the season.
The club would, however, lasted a season in the top tier and were relegated back to the second tier. Currently, they have amassed 18 points and will tackle Ngong this weekend.
