Kenya Harlequin head coach Charles Cardovillis lauded his side’s show after earning a 36-21 win against Nakuru RFC in a Kenya Cup clash over the weekend.
Quins had to rely on a second half penalty try and a converted try to see off a resilient Nakuru side and according to Cardovillis, his team was hungry for the win.
“It was a good game.We were hungry for the win and Iam excited to start the year with the good result against a team which is also keen on qualifying for the play-offs,” said Cardovillis.
“I was really impressed by the players who did some good things,” he said.
Saturday’s triumph at the RFUEA grounds was the fourth for Quins this season.
“We have really worked hard for the past one week and you can see the depth in the team is coming,” he said.
Quins, who are third on the 12-team log will this weekend make the short trip to the University of Nairobi, where struggling Mean Machine awaits.
