Nakuru receive another boost ahead of Kenya Cup resumption

As they prepare to resume action after the Christmas break, Kenya Cup side Nakuru RFC have received a major boost as centre Kelvin Kichwa Omiyo will be available for selection.

The player made a return to Nakuru in the 2018 transfer window after a stint with Kabras RFC. He featured in part of their preseason matches but was absent in their opening Kenya Cup matches.

Nakuru tactician Mitch Ocholla says the player’s absence was due to personal commitments and he is now available ahead of the remaining games.

“He had personal commitments in regards to what he has to do in terms of business. He could not commit to playing but now he is good to go,” Ocholla told Scrummage.

He joins Monate Akuei who is also available for selection for the remaining league matches. Wanyore have collected 15 points out of the possible 25 from their opening five matches. They are placed sixth on the log.

They will start off their 2019 fixtures with an away clash to Kenya Harlequins.
