Wales suffered a blow to their six nations preparations as second row Adam Beard was stretchered off the field while playing for his club Ospreys.
The 22 year old joins fellow forwards and team mates Nicky Smith and Dan Lydiate who picked injuries late last yearand Scarlets full back Leigh Halfpenny in the list of players not certain to appear for Wales in the six nations.
Although he was confirmed to not have suffered any serious injury, it is not clear when he will get back to action.
“Adam sustained a neck injury in the first minute and was immobilised and transferred to Morriston Hospital for further assessment as a precaution.”
“X-rays and scans were clear, and happily he was discharged later the same evening.
“Adam’s recovery is going well, and he will continue to be monitored in the coming days, with confirmation of his potential availability to be confirmed later in the week.” Said a statement from the Ospreys.
Wales will kick off their six nations campaign against France on February 1 in Paris.
