Kisumu RFC head coach Howard Okwemba has confirmed that last year’s acquisitions Erastus Wanyama and Reinhard Ashioya have been cleared to play for the side.
The two joined the side in the 2018 transfer window from Kakamega Based side Western Bulls but they are yet to make their debuts.
Their debut was delayed as they had not been officially released by their parent club. Okwemba who coached the two at Bulls says the issue is solved and they are ready for action.“Wanyama and Ashioya have been cleared and they can now play for us. They are available for selection and they might play as we take on USIU,” Okwemba told Scrummage.
Kisumu will resume the Championship Campaign with an away clash to league leaders USIU.
The former Kenya Cup side will be eyeing good run in 2019 to keep their Kenya Cup dream alive.
In the first five, the side picked three wins, a draw, and a loss. They have collected 16 points from the five matches which put the fifth on the log.
