Ugandan Premiership wrap: Kobs down Pirates, Heathens whip Barbarians

Kobs beat Pirates 25-13 Black Pirates in a Rugby Premiership clash played at King's Park stadium-Bweyogerere on Saturday.

Pirates led courtesy of a penalty by Conrad Wanyama. The visitors took control of the game in the remainder of the first half with tries from Ronald Musajja and Joseph Aredo in the sixteenth and twenty-first minute respectively followed by Ivan Kirabo's conversion. 

Pirates struck back with a well-planned attack from Pius Mwanje going over the line to reduce the gap to four points.

 Ivan Kirabo with a penalty goal after the break extended the visitors lead, Pirates' second try from Haruna Muhammad kept the hosts in the game as they narrowed down the gap to two points before Robert Aziku traded a try with was later converted by Ivan Kirabo to complete an eventful second half.

Other results of the day saw Hippos edge Rams 15-12 while Heathens whipped Barbarian 33-3. Buffaloes suffered a 23-9 loss to Warriors with Mongers beating Rhinos 12-5.'

The league takes a break before resuming in January.
