Kabras duo bag top accolades in MMA awards

Kabras RFC and Kenyan International back rower George Nyambua was named the best player of the year in the Magharibi Awards held on Saturday 22 December in Bungoma. 

Nyambua beat his fellow Kenya Simba's backrower Elkeans Musonye, front-rower Ephraim Odour, Mwamba newbie Elvis Namusasi and Kenya Harlequins winger Idriss Kakai to retain the award he won last year

Most Promising

Oduor bagged the most promising player of the year award. The two joinKenya 7s star Collins Injera who was awarded as the Rugby Sports Personality of the Decade in absentia.

Former Kenya 7s coach Innocent Simiyu, Nato Simiyu and Oscar Sudi were awarded the Most Outstanding Contribution to Sports award. 

Magharibi Michezo Awards is an annual event in Western Kenya that celebrates the excellence Sportsmen and Women.
