New Zealand back-row Ardie Savea has penned down a new deal that will see him stay with New Zealand Rugby and the Hurricanes till 2021.
The 25 year old will continue to feature for Wellington, the Hurricanes, All Blacks and he is eagerly waiting for the 2019 season.
“Thank you to the fans for the on going support. Can’t wait to get stuck in to 2019 with my Canes brothers,” he said.
Hurricanes head coach John Plumtree is happy with Savea’s decisions to stay longer with the side.
“While Ardie is only 25 he has played a lot of Super Rugby and is a natural leader within our squad and in our club,” he said.
“We’ve all seen the great form he has been in, especially near the end of the international season, and the discussions I’ve had with Ardie since he has been back have made it clear he wants to maintain that with the Hurricanes.”
Saveahas made 75 Super Rugby appearances and has scored 17 tries.
For New Zealand, Savea made his debut in 2016 against Wales. Since then he has made 35 tests appearances for the All Blacks.
