2018/19 KRU Central Region Nationwide tier matchday five saw only four matches go on as Kiambu v Murang’a match was postponed while JKUAT earned a bye.
Chuka avenged their preseason loss by beating their noisy neighbors Meru RFC 13-12 in a thrilling clash of the day having led 10-0 at halftime. They added three points in the final half while their opponent fought hard to score 12 points but their chase was not enough to earn them a win.
In other matches of the day saw hosts Kimathi RFC thrash former championship side Thika RFC 27-12. Zetech edged MKU Thika 14-12.

Week Five of the central Nationwide league will see five matches played with Kiambu RFC and Murang’a RFC missing in action after the later requested postponement of the match due to logistical challenges.
The two teams reached a consensus to push their nationwide encounter to February 2nd 2019.The match was set to be played at the Kenyatta University Bladbin .
The Badgers will now takes a much needed Christmas break to refill the tanks.
