Olindi hat-trick earns Kenya 13th spot in Cape Town 7s

Kenya 7s have bagged the 13th place trophy after beating Wales 33-26 in the Cape Town 7s played on Sunday evening.
Kenya started off well and youngster Johnstone Olindi landed Kenya’s opening try just after 19 seconds of play, it was fending off Wales defenders on the right wing. Wales hit back immediately with a converted try from Owen Jenkins.
Wales led for the first time in the match at the fifth minute. Tomi Lewis made a 75 meter sprint to score their second try.
A brilliant cover tackle from Daniel Taabu on Ben Jones, could not stop Wales from scoring,  Ben set up oncoming Jay Jones who scored to take his side to 19 points.
Kenya trimmed the gap to just seven points after Cyprian Kuto crossed over for an unconverted try.
On return from the break,  Olindi slipped past Jones and leveled the scores andhes would force his way to the try line for a converted try.
Leonard Mugaisi took Kenya to 33 points with a converted try before Davis scored Wales final try.
