Norton on hat-trick as England beat Kenya

Kenya 7s starting the Cape Town 7s with a 29-12 loss to England in a Pool C match played on Saturday 8 December.
Heading to this match, Kenya were winless in the 2018/19 season having lost all their opening five matches in the first leg of the series held in Dubai.
Facing England was an uphill task as Shujaa had won just one of the last 15 matches since 2014. The win was a 12-0 in March 2018, two matches had ended in draws while England had 12 wins.
In the clash, Ethan Waddleton gave England the opening try that was converted before Kenya responded courtesy of a try by Cyprian Kuto who linked up with the side this week. Eden Agero converted to tie the scores at 7-7.
World Leading scorer Dan Norton scored England’s second try and they went to the break leading by five points. On return from the Leonard Mugaisi kick and chase saw him dot Kenya’s scored try but Agero sent wide his conversion.
Norton restored their five-point gap lead with an unconverted try at the other end. The winger would produce another brilliant footwork to score his third try of the game.
Phil Burgess scored the final try to extend England dominance over Kenya. Kenya Will be back in action at 1520 to tackle Fiji.
