Kenya suffer third straight loss in Cape Town 7s

Kenya 7s have dropped to the Challenge trophy Quarters following a 19-12 loss to France which was the third straight defeat in the Pool Stages of Cape Town 7s.
Paul Murunga charges came to the match seeking the first win of the season after faltering in the opening two matches. The two matches saw them suffer defeats to England (29-12) and Fiji (38-7).
Alvin Otieno gave Kenya a lead after being released by Leonard Mugaisi. France responded with two minutes to go with a try from Thibaud Mazzoleni.
Terry Bouhraoua then managed to steal the ball from Kenya’s players and went over for their second try. Paulin Riva added the extras to take a 12-5 lead to the break.
After the restart, Alvin  Otieno equalized following a converted try. The Kenyans, however, failed to stop France support play which saw them score through Riva to win the match.
