KCB hand Mwamba third straight defeat

KCB are back to winning ways after a 33-13 win over Mwamba RFC in a Kenya Cup match played at Ruaraka Grounds.
The Bankers came to the clash wounded after last weekends defeat to Nondies and they were seeking to have a perfect response after the loss. Tony Omondi sent Mwamba ahead with a penalty kick few minutes into the game
KCB responded immediately with a try from backrower Rocky Aguko, the try was converted for a 7-0 lead. Halfback Michael Wanjala added their second try as they went nine points up. Debutant Tony Onyango got his first ever try for the bankers and it was converted for 19-3 lead.
Kenya 7s star Andrew Amonde got a converted try that pushed the defending champions to 26-3 at the break. In the second half, KCB started off with a converted try from Jacob Ojee before Mwamba pulled back through Deus Mudaki.
Fully back Ronnie Omondi squeezed past KCB defence and scored the try that pushed them to 13 points. His try was the final serious action of the game. Mwamba have now suffered three straights defeats this season.
