Blad outwit Machine as Homeboyz suffer in hands of Quins

KU’s Blak Blad downed arch-rivals Mean Machine 32-19 a in thrilling Kenya Cup matchday three clash staged on 1st December 
Mean Machine were looking forward to replicating their fine run as they had previously plummed Blad 15-12 in a recent Varsity Cup final in the preseason. Blad had suffered two astraight losses from the past two rounds of Kenya Cup action, the recent one a 37-10 to Kabras while Mean Machine had one win and one loss.
Blad had the opening try through Archadius Khwesa as Machine responded with an unconverted try before Blad’s as Allan Ominde slotted two penalties. Machine added another converted try as Ominde slotted another penalty putting Blad ahead 14-12 at halftime.
Steve Biko crossed over for Blad’s first try in the second half as Ominde slotted two more penalties. Khwesa bagged his brace with Ominde adding the extras. Machine crossed over for a converted try but was good enough to down Michael ‘Tank’ Otieno’s resilient side making scores 32-19 after the final whistle.
At the RFUEA Grounds,  Alex Olaba bagged a  treeble while Ugandan imports Jasper Onen and Aaron Ofoywroth, Aluda Beda scored too as Quins handed Homeboyz a 35-15 defeat.
