Ireland hand Kenya Lionesses second defeat in Dubai

Kenya Lionesses suffered a second defeat in Dubai 7s, going down 27-12 to Ireland in the second match played on Thursday.
Kenya took the ball through several phases before Janet Okello breached the defence and touched down between the posts for the opening try. The side would then concede three penalties thereafter and Ireland fought back and scored through Ame Leigh Murphy at the right corner to trim the gap to two points.
Five point gap
A brilliant support play saw Leigh Murphy go over for the second try for Ireland. Lucy Mulhall converted at the stroke of halftime and the side went to the break leading  12-7.
On return from the break, Kenya enjoyed possessed and they would make it count with skipper Philadelphia Olando barging over for Kenya to tie the scores at 12-12.
Eve Higgins would add two tries to send the game beyond Kenya’s reach. The side which started the campaign with a 34-7 loss to New Zeland will play their last match Russia.
