The Repechage Tournament came to an end on Friday 23 November with Canada beating Hong Kong 27-10 to book a slot in the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Canada joined Pool B which has defending champions New Zealand, two-time winners South Africa, Italy and African qualifiers Namibia. To win the tournament, Canada won all their matches to amass 14 points.
Two bonus points
In the three matches, they scored 121 points, conceded 39 and got two bonus points. Germany finished second, with only one loss they picked nine points from the tournament after having scored 79 and conceded 44.
Hong Kong got the third position following two defeats in the tournament. Their five points came from the win over Kenya Simbas. They conceded 71 and managed to score 61 points.
Kenya Simbas did not collect a single point from the tournament after losing all their matches. They conceded 150 points and managed to score only 42.
