Western Bulls team manager Bram Shikanda has praised his squad after their narrow victory over MMUST in the Kakamega derby.
The side came from behind to beat KRU Championship newbies MMUST 15-14 in a match staged at MMUST Grounds.
The team manager was particularly impressed with the forwards of his team who were aggressive during the match. He also praised the team’s focus that was displayed despite the crowd distraction.
“The first game of the season and a lot positives to build on as we go into our second match against Kisii RFC at the Bullring.”
“Considering we only had one pre-season friendly match, we showed grit and overall better quality. A huge shutout to the forwards -who were immense throughout the whole game. It was particularly pleasing to see that even with off-field distractions, our boys were focused on getting the job done,” Shikanda told Bull’s Media.
