Kenya Simbas coach: What we need to compete with top sides

Despite being out of the race to the 2019 World Cup, Kenya Simbas head coach sees a lot of potential in his side and believes that they can fight against the big boys if the game is professionalized.
The side had flashes of brilliance on Saturday and went on to score brilliant tries in the opening half against Hong Kong.
In the final half, the side struggled to match Hong Kong display and ended up losing 42-17.
Snook has led the side in the Africa Gold Cup Tournament and two matches of the Repechage and he feels they are able to compete against big boys if they play more friendlies, get the required support and have the sport professionalized.
“The team has potential and will soon be able to wrestle with other bigwigs for the medals. However, we need to professionalize the sport in Kenya and give it more support and play against top teams more often, ” he was quoted by Xinhuanet.

As the team prepares for the Germany clash, the New Zealander is aware that they are going to face a more organized side and will need to raise their levels to be able to compete them.
“They are a good all-round team who are well organized and have several attacking threats. But Kenya needs to step up a few levels in our game in all aspects if we are to beat the big teams,” said Snook.
The Germany match will be Kenya Simbas final clash of the Repechage campaign.
