Hong Kong captain on how they dealt Kenya Simbas scare

Hong Kong skipper James Cunningham is pleased with his side’s 42-17 win over Kenya which helped them keep their world cup qualification hopes alive.
The side came into the game following a 29-6 loss to Germany in the opening round of the tournament and needed to win the game with a bonus point to keep themselves in the tournament.
James says that patience from his team bore fruits as they were able to drill in points towards the end of the game.
“It was a bit scary at the start. The Kenyans came out real fast and played some great rugby, but we did what we wanted to, we knew we had the fitness, so we just ground it out and finally got some points on the board towards the end of the game. Having the bonus point still keeps us in this tournament, so it was definitely on our minds, but just getting the win is big for us.”  he said
Hong Kong face Canada in their last match which they hope to convincingly win to qualify for the 2019 world cup in Japan.
