Kisumu beat UoE as Mombasa, Monks win

Kisumu RFC under the tutelage of former Western Bulls head coach Howard Okwemba started the Championship campaign with a 20-3 win over UoE in Eldoret.
Maurice Ojiayo bagged a brace while centre Felix Otieno managed one try in the match. Lenny Obiero contributed seven points in the win after he converted two tries and a penalty for the win.
Their hosts UoE managed three penalties but they could not stop Okwemba from claiming his first victory. Mombasa pipped visiting Ngong 13-7 while South Coast Pirates were shocked by visitor Catholic Monks.
