Impala holds off Blad as Nakuru pip Strathmore

 Impala Saracens Kenya Cup campaign started with a dramatic 18-15 win over Blak Blad in a match played ta Impala Grounds.
Impala Saracens picked a 29-16 in the last  season’s meeting and the Blak Blad came seeking a revenge the loss.  The first half saw Blad hold on Impala 10-10 as they both run on a try, conversion and a penalty each.
In second half, Impala had a penalty and a resilient maul that saw right wing Quinto Ongo score winning points. Blad only set an unconverted try for the lone second-half points which was not convincing enough to down Frank Ndong’s side.
In Madaraka, Nakuru managed to revenge last season loss by beating hosts 20-15.
