Canada are a step away from the World Cup qualification after a 29-10 win over Germany in a Repechage match staged in Marseille on Saturday.
The first half ended with Canada leading 10-7. It was after a penalty by Gordy McRorie while Lucas Rumball scored the first try of the match with McRorie returning to the scoresheet with a conversion. Germany cut the gap by scoring one converted try.
In the second half, Tyler Ardon went over for the second try before Matt Evans sent the side 14 points up after an unconverted try. Ben Lesage set up McRorie who crossed over for the fourth try of the match that earned them a bonus.
The win means they will maintain the stay on top of the on the four-team table with 10 Points from the last two matches. Earlier Kenya Simbas lost 42-17 to Hong Kong.
