Brilliant Kitoi lifts Kisii past Kitale as USIU beat Egerton

Kisii RFC RFC started their second stint in the KRU Champions with a 11-3 win over Newbies Kitale in a Championship match staged on Saturday at Gusii Stadium
The home boys went ahead early on in the match with a penalty by Aggrey Kitoi, but the lead did not last long as Kitale replied with a penalty to bring the scores level.
Alvin Marube was sent to the bin shortly after but Kitale could not use their numerical advantage and both teams would head into the blocks scores tied at 3 points apiece.
Kisii were first to register points ten minutes into the second half with Kitoi slotting in a penalty taking the scores to 6-3. Kitale had a chance to draw matters level minutes later but sent their penalty wide.
It was Aggrey Kitoi on it again as he crossed the white chalk to dot down the only try of the game. He could not add the extras and the game ended 11-3. Kissi will be looking for a promotion back to Kenya cup next season.
In Nakuru, Eliud Mulakoli Derrick Lusweti and a Drop goal from Charles Kuka saw USIU beat Egerton 15-6 in Njoro. Full Back Godfrey Habana produced a man of the match performance in the win.
