Kabras RFC fans will wait longer to watch new signing Enzo Foutie as he is set to miss the Kenya Cup opening tie against Mean Machine.
The club’s head coach Henly Du Plessis has confirmed that South Africa centre will watch the clash from the sidelines as he is recovering from a knee injury.
Foutie made his first non-competitive appearance against Menengai Oilers but missed the clash against Kisumu.
“All the players are available for selection apart from Foutie who has a slight knee injury. We don’t want to risk him so he will stay out during the opening game,” the Scrummage.
The coach has expressed satisfaction in the display of Foutie, utility back Logan Basson and backrower Claude Johannes especially in friendly Oilers.
The tactician believes they have settled and he hopes they will impress in the season.
” All of them played well in our first friendly match. I feel they have adapted to the life here and they now need to prove themselves,” he added.
The side will be hoping to impress in the 2018/19 season. The Sugarmen lost three games in the 2017/18 season, with two those being against KCB.
