Kenya Cup side Strathmore Leos lost two key players in the transfer window which was shut 10 days ago.
Kenyan International Edmund Anya and his teammate Broadly Kwame ditched the club to join Ngong Road-based side Impala Saracens. Head coach John Mbai has confirmed the duo’s exit.
To Impala
“Edmund Anya, Kwame are the players that we released in the transfer window and they have completed a move to Impala Saracens,” Mbai told the Scrummage.
Anya has been with Kenya Under 19 side and he made his breakthrough to the senior side -Kenya Simbas after the appointment of New Zealand tactician Ian Snook. Anya made his Africa Gold Cup debut for Simbas in Morocco.
The winger started against Zimbabwe as Kenya Simbas fought hard to pick a 45-36 win over Zimbabwe. The youngster, however, missed the Uganda, Tunisia and Namibia match.
Anya did not make the Kenya Simba’s final squad for Repechage Tournament.
