Kenya Simbas captain reacts to Canada loss

Despite going down to Canada in 2019 Rugby World Cup qualifiers-Repechage, Kenya Simbas skipper Davis Chenge is happy with his teammate’s character in the match.
The African Gold Cup runners-up let in 10 tries and lost 65-19 in the opening match of the Repechage campaign played on Sunday. Chenge says his teammates never gave up even when their opponents opened a wide gap and he believes the mentality will be key in the remaining games of the competition.
“Canada are a good side, they really brought the physicality to us. We tried our best to match them but they were the better side. The boys performed really well, they showed really good character, they never gave up which is a good sign for us, ” Chenge is quoted by the World Rugby Portal.
Kenya have five days to get ready for the Hong Kong game and the forward has stated that they will be working hard in training as they seek to pick first win in the competition.
“We are going back to the drawing board, work even hard and come back even harder and hopefully, we will get a win in the next game.” he added.
Kenya are bottom on the four-team table and they will tackle Hong Kong in the second match where they will be eyeing a return to winning ways to revive their world qualification hopes.
