Safari 7s Semifinal pairings

Kenya 7s will tackle Spain in the Semifinals of the Safari 7s tournament  set of Sunday afternoon at the RFUEA Grounds as Kenya Morans face off with Samurai.
Defending Champions Kenya 7s became the first side to reach the semis following a 38-7 win over Red Wailers. Mark Wandeto landed Kenya’s opening try and Johnstone Olindi converted to put Kenya ahead. Kenya added five more points with a try at the right corner through Wandeto. Olindi converted his own try and send Kenya to a 19-0  lead before Oilers forward Harold Anduvate went over for a  converted try that put Kenya to 26 points at the breather.
Derrick Keyoga pulled one back for Wailers but Kenya scored through Cyprian Kuto and Leonard Mugaisi to pick a 38-7 victory.
Spain through
Spain needed a late try to beat Portugal 24-21. Spain took lead with an unconverted try before the Portuguese responded with two converted try that saw them lead 14-5. Pedro Ramos ‘s try after the hooter saw the Spaniards trim the gap to four points.
Both sides managed a converted try each on return from the break and the scores changed to 21-17 with Portugal maintaining the lead. Rafael Di Santiago crossed over and converted and to sent Spain to the semis.

Morans 
Kenya Morans made it to the last four after a 38-5 win over Namibia. Timothy Mmasi dotted Moran’s opener that was converted for a 7-0 lead while they added the second try through Eliakim Kichoi. Carlton Stevens scored at the other end for Namibia but Morans widened the gap with a try from Vincent Onyala
After the restart Morans moved to 24 points with an unconverted try from Sam Motari while Ronnie Omondi added his name on the scoresheet with an unconverted try. Arcadius Kwesa landed Morans final try of the match.
 
Samurai beat Homeboyz 19-7 in the last semis, After what seemed to be a cagey start, Homeboyz were reduced to six men following Akwei Monate’s sin-bin and Kurt Lee Arendse scored the opener for Samurai. The side would take a 7-0 lead to the break.
Zeden Marrow leveled the scores for Homeboyz after the restart as Samurai were reduced to six men but Arendse converted try restored their seven-point lead. Augustine Lugonzo went on to haunt his employers by scoring at right corner for Samurai.
