Germany registered the first win in the 2019 Rugby World Cup Qualifier Repechage after beating Hong Kong 26-9 in a match played at Stade Delortin Marseille on Sunday evening.
The teams went to the break level after Matt Rosslee scored twice for Hong Kong from the tee. Germany fly half Raynor Parkinson responded with two penalties as the half ended tryless.

Germany started the final half by adding three more points to the scoresheet through Parkinson. Rosslee leveled the scores with a penalty at the other end before Parkinson fourth penalty put Germany ahead once again.
Mathias Schosser scored the first try of the game as Germany stretched the lead to eight points. Parkison fine form on the boot gave the side a 19-9 lead.
Hooker Kurt Haupt crossed over for a converted try in the closing minutes and the side went on to join Canada on the list of matchday one winners. Canada beat Kenya 65-19 in the early kickoff.

Hong Kong will take on Kenya Saturday, 17th November while Germany will face off with Germany.
